I have to remove a McIntyre Feather. It was installed with the supplied double sided adhesive. The customer wants a different pick-up installed.
Anybody done this? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Ron

I've removed them(and reused them) by carefully peeling it off. A plastic credit card type of thing with one edge sharpened will do the trick, and you won't risk cutting into the bridge plate.

Thank you my friend. Reusing it is an important part of the process.
After removal did you clean the bridge plate with acetone or naptha?

Razor blade, as a scraper.
Don't like chemicals, much less inside a guit'n tar.

BTW, what is the customer's complaint with the feather? I rather like them; not very "hot", but very, very smooth and natural sounding.

Re: Removing a McIntyre Feather
He had a K&K Pure MIni in previously and heard an instrument with a feather that he really like so tried it. It didn't live up to his expectations and wants to go to a K&K Trinity. The feather will continue on in a friends guitar.
