Pono scratch repair

Post by John Nephin2 »

I put a big scratch in the finish of my wife's Pono big baritone uke. In Canada I can't find lacquer retarder. Would lacquer thinner work? From what I read it is a nitro finish

No, thinner won’t work on a deep scratch. And retarder is also not useful. Use straight lacquer or even better is GluBoost Fill N’ Finish.
