Malaysian Blackwood

Post by John Rice »

Hi all, just bought a set of Malaysian Blackwood and have never used it before. It has a very glassy tap tone and I was wondering is it differcult to bend or how it glues.Any help would be great.

I've built one guitar with Malaysian Blackwood. I will use it again. Very similar to rosewoods in sound. I bent sides using the Fox bender and had no problems. It glues well, routing for purfling was easy and clean, no chip outs.
