I just got one of these:

and I'm wondering how to hook it up to the MIMF preamp. It's a powered mic, and what I need to know is how much power and where?
My first guess is that it's 9V on the ring. This thing plugs into one of their preamps, but I couldn't find any schematics or specs for either one.

So this is a phantom powered mic? I do not believe that the MIMF preamp supplies phantom power, but I could be wrong.

Barry is right, there's no power for a mic in that preamp design. it is meant for another mic that doesn't need power.
The mic you bought isn't really what is called a "phantom powered" mic, those run on 48v most of the time, but the one you have would probably run on one 1.5v battery. See if there is any data or info from Guitar Fetish so we know just what that mic wants.

I know the MIMF preamp isn't designed for a mic with phantom power, but it does have a 9V battery in the circuit. Powering the mic should be as simple as running a jumper from the +9V to the ring of the mic, that is if the mic is expecting 9V on the ring. I checked GF & couldn't find anything definitive.

Since it plugs into a device with 9V power, I doubt it would require a higher voltage, since that would require a transformer in the preamp. It could be lower, either running through a resistor or taking off from a lower voltage point on the circuit.
I need to pick up some jacks to plug all this together, I'll get a 1.5V battery to see if that works. I'll run some tests & report back next week.
