Hello,
I'm trying to find preferably European supplier for a Richlite or similar synthetic bass fretboard blank. Tonetechluthierssupplies in UK is out of stock at the moment.
Does anybody know other suppliers?

Re: Headless neck thru bass
Hieno basso taas kerran, Marko! That's another elegant fine sounding bass you've built. Do you have a buyer for it or did you build it for yourself? This one is for myself. At least as long as I deside to make another "this bass has everything I've always wanted". I've made quite a few of...

Where have the MIMF plans gone?
I was trying to find bass plans from MIMF page but couldn't find any. Am I just plain stupid or have they dissappeared?

Re: Carbon fiber neck structural designs?
You make a neck out of wood first, then you take a mold of it, then you make the cf neck inside the mold. If you don't want it to be hollow, you fill it with anything you like. I'd say again that this is the only way to make a cf neck if you do not want to skin anything with cf. I have no clue abou...

Re: Carbon fiber/wood composite bass
I like wood also. I just can't get the weight and sound that cf allows with woods. I like to do things in a bit out of the usual way. I'm not into rosewood/maple necked alder bodied four string basses. There is enough makers for those already.

Re: Carbon fiber/wood composite bass
Thanks for your comments Markku. The pickup is made with neodymium blocks, 5mmx5mmx25. Three blocks are in the coil separated from the transformer core blade with 2mm acrylic pieces. Coil bobbins are from SP-Elektroniikka, magnets are from eBay.uk . Wire is 42AWG. The pickup is quite similar to Q-tu...

Re: Just finished this headless semi-hollow seven-string
Very nice looking guitar. Not something that would be played by rock'n'roll guitar heroes on stage but still very nice. I like Trapezoidal neck profile on bass. I've made two of those and they work just fine. My latest however has round shape and the difference in feel between round and trapezoidal ...
