I agree with Alan. I fret the instrument after it is completely put together. As a matter of fact, fretting is the very last step in the completion of the instrument.

I have probably made over 100 slot head instruments with this jig. It is absolutely terrific! If you follow the instructions, your slot head instruments will be great. It is the closest thing to perfection, as far as jigs go!!
