Where to buy quality solid-body blanks in UK?

As the title suggests, I'm in the UK and am looking to buy a couple of quality solid body blanks for electric guitar projects. I'm looking for 1-piece blanks, pre-dried. (specifically, 1 ash, and 1 mahogony/sapele). If the supplier can provide the specific moisture content all the better.

Can anyone recommend a good supplier in the UK? I've found a few options on Ebay, and have found a few company websites, but I have no idea how to judge the quality of their supplies...

thanks in advance.
Toby.

Hi Toby and welcome to the forum.

I would try David Dyke at http://www.luthierssupplies.co.uk/ and Bob Smith at http://www.exotichardwoods.co.uk/ both have a fantastic selection and are easy to deal with. Always best to see in person what you are buying though, but neither of these suppliers will let you down.

There's also http://www.touchstonetonewoods.co.uk/ but I think they have mainly 2 piece body blanks and are a little pricey imo.

Oh and http://www.tonetechluthiersupplies.co.uk/

Hope that helps

Bob

http://www.madinter.com is near Madrid. The currently have single piece ash blanks but no single piece mahogany/sapele blanks. I have used them quite a bit over the years. The biggest Spanish supplier is probably maderas barber in Valencia. They have a good reputation but I have no personal experience and their website is not as "consumer" friendly as the madinter.
