I just heard this morning that noted luthier Ken Parker passed away.

Yes, posted it in the archtop section also, pretty sad, such an innovator. He recorded a youtube last week to present his successor, and in that video, he was already in pretty bad shape.
Love his archtoppery videos, and those instrument are so incredibly beautiful (to my eye at least). Innovative, but still grounded in history, technically excellent and well engineered, but still seeing each instrument as individual.
