mesquite

Post by Bob Francis »

Has anyone tried a mesquite neck?
I found a piece on sale and while not quarter sawn seems pretty close.
This piece is dense and heavy for its' size so I thought I'd ask before it becomes boxes.

It's a little heavy for a neck, but I did use it on a mostly mesquite guitar for a friend of mine.
I like mesquite for backs & sides, I've use it a couple of times.

Thanks Roger.
Good point as to the weight. This might be destined to be a box.
