Sibling Sets

Post by Peter Wilcox »

I've realized I sometimes build a guitar and a bass of the same design and same wood (don't know why) and just finished another set, so thought I'd post them.

Most recent one:

Maybe I can't fix it, but I can fix it so no one can fix it

Some more pics of the last one. My son brought me a piece of maple firewood from Washington a couple of years ago. I resawed it last year and found it was nicely spalted. He asked me to make him a guitar and a bass for his birthday this year (he doesn't play either, but said he will learn :D ) so this is what resulted.

Those look great! and I love the idea of making matched sets.
