Inlays

Post by Chris Tremble »

Iv just radiussed the fingerboard on my first build but realised i probably should have inlayed it first.

Should I start the fingerboard again or is there a way to inlay into a radiussded board?

Hi Chris,
I think many of us feel it is preferable to radius the fret board before doing inlays. You are less likely to sand through the inlay material doing it this way, and some thin semi-flexible materials can be made to conform to the radius.

Agreed, I always radius the fret board first.
