I am going to try a Shadow AZ 49 at the neck in a planned project.

I cannot find anywhere suggested pot & cap values for it.

Can anyone help out please?

What kind of guitar are you building? That seems like a really odd choice for a neck pickup, this is a soundhole pickup for an acoustic guitar.

That link is a little squirrely, sometimes it directs you to the wrong pickup. The one the OP is talking about is a jazz humbucker, I'd start with 500k audio pots and .047uF cap. 1 meg pots and 250k pots will also work, it depends on what kind of tone/response you want. The cap value can also be varied from probably .02uF to .1uF, although at the higher values the tone bleeds off enough of the higher frequencies to behave as a volume control.

I agree with Roger, 500k pots, start with a 47nF cap, maybe go down in value to either 33nf or 22nf. That should get you in the ballpark.

Mark at this stage the build will be a chambered solid bodied guitar with a slightly wider than usual fingerboard to help my fat fingers do a bit of finger-style.

'course that could all change with a slip of the router ;o)
