Framus 4 string banjo repair

Framus 4 string banjo repair

hello
been a real long time since I have posted here. life, job, etc..
I have a Framus four string banjo ser# 47465-671 looking for some info. neck is broke had a gorilla glue repair job planning on rebuilding the heal of the neck but would like some idea of the worth.

Looks like they run about $300 depending on condition.

I saw them as much as $1600. but 200-300 was common. I was hoping someone had some info on serial #s or models.

I couldn't find a lot but are you sure that the last digit is a "1" not an "I". From what I can tell if it is an I it was built in December of 1967.

i now believe the "i" may be a sanded off "f" so it might be June of 67
