Central Asian dutar/dotar

Recently completed this for a customer in the UK. It's a simple strummed folk instrument played throughout central Asia.

Nice; it looks similar to a dombra. I have a friend from Kazakhstan who has inspired me to build a dombra. I have never built a bowl backed instrument, so that will be a new challenge for me.

Yes, it is similar to a Dombra. Bowlbacks require a slightly different method of construction but once you get the hang of them, they're good fun to build. :)
