Thanks! Yes I carve all my rosettes by hand with skalpels. I use a cutting mat underneath.

The rosette looks like the same pattern I used on my 11 course lute. Back then it took me a full 2 days to do it. I would not have the patience any more.

Wow, 2 days! This took me just over 2 hours but spread over 2 days. I only do an hour at a time then come back to it, as I've heard staring at it too long can be bad on the eyes (I say whilst staring at computers too much! :lol: )
