What should I Call This?

If it's not a guitar or a bass guitar discussion, and it's got strings, put it here.

What should I Call This?

It has a 20" scale, 30" overall length with cherry neck and body, walnut peghead overlay and heel cap, jarrah fingerboard, bridge and tailpiece. I have it strung like a baratone uke. It's a fun little thing just to plunk around on.

"The frying pan".
The name has an old, proud assotiation, though in the electric guitar world...

It looks to me like what the Cigar Box Guitar folks call a Cookie Tin Banjo, except that it's made of wood. The body is of very similar dimensions to a vintage wooden cheese box http://usbox.com/Gift-Basket/Round-Wooden-Cheese-Boxes/2LV-P
So I would call it a "Cheese Box Ukulele/Banjo"

I second the Cheesbox name. Cigar Box Nation has a 1930's Popular Mechanics article with a cheese box guitar.

Ukuleles come in different shapes and sizes, so calling it a baritone ukulele wouldn't be wrong. Depending on how you tune it, you could also call it a short scale tenor guitar.

What's wrong with "Sally" (or "Fred" depending on gender)?
