Is this slab sawn piece of maple fitting for building a violin?

I bought this 4 year old Bosnian maple as I am looking to build a violin. What do you think, can it be used for making a violin back?

I don't see why not provided you can get a one-piece back, sides and a neck from it.

It could be cut up for a more traditionally built violin. But it doesn't have very interesting grain. Is the wood resonant?
