Well, it's done, after some finish problems as detailed in another thread.

It has split coil humbuckers and a 5 way Strat type switch which gives 1) bridge humbucker, 2) bridge single coil, 3) bridge and neck single coils, 4) neck single coil and 5) neck humbucker, as shown here: http://www.caliguitar.com/pickup/data/w ... 5way_s.pdf

I sounds pretty good to my uneducated ear - I'm happy.

Excellent! Good work!

If I'm reading that schematic correctly, that #3 position puts the neck and bridge single coils in parallel, yes?

I can't understand or figure out these guitar selector switches, so I just wired everything up per the illustration. Then I tapped on the pickups to find out which were active. The switch positions were backwards, so I just turned the switch around. In the 4th position the active neck coil was the one toward the bridge, so I turned that pickup around. The active bridge single coil was the one toward the bridge, so I left that as is (unlike the illustration).

Measured at the guitar output jack, the bridge HB pup is 13.5k DCR, and the neck is 9.5k. The bridge single coil is 6.9k, and the neck is 4.9k. The middle position (bridge and neck split coils) is 11.5k, putting them in series. (The numbers aren't exact - I don't know if this is due to my HFT meter or that the 250k volume pot in parallel to ground is having an effect.)
