Just finished this one up, it's my fastest build to date! Not only that but it's like I built one of my dream guitars. I l-o-v-e the color, 1956 DeSoto. Burgundy Mist Metallic! But it's also my first baritone and I've been wanting to build one of those since I started.

I really like that! I have a baritone planned too, if I ever get to it! I'd have to have at least one single-coil pickup though...they sound great with the twang factor.

You've really captured a classic look and everything about the guitar contributes to it. I get the opportunity to work on quite a few guitars from the 60s and early seventies and always think it would be nice to build one of these but with smart modern neck specs and decent electronics. Its a beautiful guitar.

Nice work Paul! Looks great. I really like the "R" backplate for the neck screws too. What are the pickups? Any sound clips?

That reminds me, I have always wanted to make a guitar in the Poppy Seed Red color of my uncle's '65 Mustang.

The pickups are Roadhouse Pickups Triple Crown humbuckers. He winds them with a unique coil structure that makes them very harmonically rich with excellent note separation. No sound samples yet, but we're working on making a video.

If I didn't say this on your last guitar post, you've really hit a groove here, Paul. This stuff is aces.

Sexy! Makes me miss my Mustang, maybe it's the knobs. What scale did you use?

No, the color coats on this were sprayed with acrylic lacquer from TCP Global.
