MIMF

Here is a Tele copy I gave one of my nephews for Christmas. He's one of a set of triplets, age 11, and I gave all of them a guitar hoping they learn to enjoy playing. This one is a chambered maple body with a sitka spruce top, dyed yellow, plastic binding, inexpensive hardware and pickups.

(Fuzzy thing in the picture is Pumpkin, cute but curious and mean tempered when you try to take her toys away...me too!)

You mentioned triplets. Is there a third guitar you're not showing us?

Good looking builds Warren. I bet they are really happy with them.

Thanks for the comments. I made all the necks, bodies and fingerboards and used wood from my local hardwood distributor except the spruce top.

Sorry about not posting the other guitar but I can't find the picture of the others. The third one is a solid cherry body with a hard maple and cocobola skunk stripe neck, also in a thin LP style, natural finish with no binding. They also had another that I posted a while ago on mimf forum that was a marble looking swirl finish but I didn't post. I'll ask my niece if she took some pictures.

They were really happy with them. I wasn't there to watch them open them but they are really great kids.

Correction. I bought the fingerboard for the red guitar, so I only slotted that one. It had been around the shop for several years and needed a project. It was pretty inexpensive but I had to do some work on sanding it to get it radiused. Even then, I had to do quite a bit of fret leveling to get it playable but it came out nice in the end.
