Fitting t bridge to new cones

Hi Guys and Gals
I am building a weissenborn tricone hybrid and my first stumbling block is how the T bridge should sit on the cones. The Cones are new nationals, while the bridge is the cheaper non genuine. The pins on the bridge are bigger than the holes in the cones. Is this normal? Do i need to drill or reek out the holes in the cones to the size of the pin?
