a uke for my daughter

Post by Bob Orr »

This one was finished yesterday for my daughter Sarah and this is #3. The inlay is her star sign.
Back and sides; leopardwood
Top ; lacewood
binding ; oak and bwb purfling.
fingerboard, bridge and headstock veneer ; wenge
inlay, abalone & maple veneer
Finish ; shellac based sanding sealer then Tru Oil
nut & saddle ; unbleached bone. We trained a Guide Dog for the Blind last year and this is one the bones he used to chew!

Cheers, Bob

I like it a lot.... Cool woods, just the right amount of finish....your daughter should be very pleased.
