Mistral project

Post by Murray Kuun »

MISTRAL. A thinline, upside-down** electric/acoustic hybrid designed and built for stage performance. It is fully hollow and it sports a Schertler magnetic pickup with a dedicated mic input.
** instead of hiding the more beautiful wood (birdseye) at the back, I use it for the soundboard where it can be most appreciated. More @ http://murraykuun.com/wordpress/

Nice - I dig the drilled-hole rosette. Bet you'd hate to have the bit wander on you when drilling all those small holes. I wonder how the extra holes affect the resonant frequency of the box or the rigidity in that area?

I too, really like the drilled hole rosette. Very unique.
How did you get such equidistant spacing around the circle?
I need your help. I can't possibly make all the mistakes myself!

Murray, you did it again. What sort of schooling have you done for your approach to design ? You seem to regularly come up with clever and clean designs.
