Anyone who'll be in the area Tuesday night is welcome to join the Running Dog/Sound Guitar Repair pre-Convention party! It's become a tradition!
We're in Seattle, 118 N. 35th Street (Fremont neighborhood), in the back ground floor. Starting around 5, going until the last one gives up.

There will be at least one person from the Seattle Luthiers Group making shuttle runs from Seatac; contact them directly.

Hope to see you here and at the Convention.

Count me in. Very much looking forward to it and meeting some of the MIMF members. I will be displaying a few instruments and will be looking for as much feedback as possible. I last went to a GAL convention in 1990 just after starting to build guitars, its been up and down since then but I'm in deep now. See you there.

I'll be driving up Wednesday from the Portland area, and I'll be bringing the guitar (yet to be revealed here) that holds the pickups I made. I was wondering, though, if anyone was interested in seeing any of my tools or jigs. For example, I could throw a few things in the trunk, like my pickup winder, Myka neck jig, Williams binding jig, or the like, and could show them off from my dorm room. For most folks, a picture is enough, and you've probably made one yourself; but for others who haven't seen these tools, or are thinking about building their own, it might be good to see one in person and poke and play with it. Let me know.

Jason, I'd be happy to check out your jigs for acoustic guitar work. So if its not too much trouble bring some.

Hmm, acoustic jigs... the Williams binding jig is really the only acoustic-specific jig I have. It's no trouble to bring stuff, since I'll be driving.

I like driving too Kathy, driving up from southern Colorado, with a short stop in Eugene to see my daughter. See you all in few days.

And I'll be crying in my beer at home for this one. Obligations have stymied any chance of making it, and I'm really going to be missing seeing you guys again.

see what you can do about getting one next year instead of them waiting a lifetime like this one.

Hope you guys will post what's going on, especially down at the bar. And please have a couple rounds on me...I've sent a bunch of cash with Chuck to cover it.<g>

Oh, and if you can make the pre party at Running Dog, definitely do. Rick & Cat are wonderful folks.
