Top wood supplier, graded by stiffness

Post by Craig Bumgarner »

I seem to recall a top wood supplier who graded their sets by stiffness or perhaps a stiffness to weight ratio, but cannot find them now. Can anyone point me toward them?

I believe Northern Tone woods is one that grades their tops that way.

I love the Carpathian spruce that was selected for me by John Preston at Old World Tonewood company. Just tell him what you want.

I can't believe that he spent a significant amount of time for a $20 top!
It's better than many master-grade tops apparently.
