I have a 300 watt halogen in my pipe bender. It's the mini-cab style. I had to order a ceramic base for it, but it works reasonably well. I imagine that these lights would work in a fox-style bender as well, and I don't think halogens are going away anytime soon either.

That is a fantastic idea. Perhaps a little cumbersome to test, but a great idea non-the-less.
