I can't tell if those are locking tuners or not but in either case try using the fewest possible winds on the posts to minimize the posibility of slack building up.

I bought four of their glue-in necks back in the mid-80's when they were all 24 ¾ scale. One was an obvious "second" from the production line. I sent it back and it was exchanged without question. In 1988 I bought a 12 string 24 ¾ neck-through. It was and still is just fine. I thought they...

All of the Carvin necks I have ever used had a neck angle built in. You can check your neck by laying a long straight edge on the frets and extend it towards the end of the body. Measure the straight edge to body-top distance at the end of the fretboard and at a point near the end of the body.
