My friend says the Chicago school is about $35k for 3 years and North Bennett is $26k for 1 year. She also says CSVM has two Gold winning instructors (but I'm not sure what that means).

The two common tunings are C-G and D-G to match the tunes of the time. Longer instruments can of course use thicker strings and some experimentation may be needed to find what suits you best. The "keep me logged in" setting (and the subscription settings I think) are saved in cookies on your pc. You might want to try going to Home - Board index. Then scroll all the way down to the bottom. You should be a blue bar with some options in it- there is a "delete cookies" op...
