cool idea, my first files were hacksaw and coping saw blades ground down.

has anybody ever suggested a new tool, or such to a manufacturer? Did they make it or use your idea in some way?

The screw that holds the button on is used to tighten them up. Give that a try first(if you have not already) Sometimes there are fiber washers that may be old and deteriorated. Nice looking Uke by the way.

well, I sorta thought I did. The glue set up alleviates the problem of having a large amount of glue sitting around, the V blocks take care of keeping the jack on the brace, and the long distance handle takes care of trying to get the flexible shaft onto the jack inside a guitar. Like that...
