Hi Jon, ok thanks, I'll set a 200k limit. Give me a day or so and I'll get back to you.

Re: Banjo Head types

Jon, I'm trying to allow users to attach small .mp3 files. I'll let you know when it's ready and you can give it a try if you don't mind.

Re: Regarding MIMF & MIMF-TNG discussions and overlap

Hi Paul, good question. I wish I had a good answer! As far as I know, we are not going to try to move "live" discussions over. If we can hold off one more week I think we can go live here.

Nice photo essay John, thanks. Not sure I understand the second post where you say "Once ripped and sized I will but the side angle using the same holding mechanisms."

The images here are links to his photos on photobucket.com instead of attachments. For useful discussions, we prefer attachments because they will stay with the discussion where as linked photos are likely to disappear over time.

Re: Using Lathe for pickup winder

Hi James and welcome. I know this was discussed on mimf.com 2-3 months ago, but that discussion is gone now. You might try posting the question over there again. I do not recall all of it, but some of the concerns were getting the lathe to go slow enough and preventing the wire from breaking at star...

I thought the windings on the E string were a little clearer in the 85k picture. Tough to tell a difference with the spruce though. Maybe monitor res matters?

Hi Jon and welcome. Without all that hardware for the head, it must be pretty light (and certainly less expensive). Using tacks to fasten the head?

Hi Andrew and welcome! We're still kind of testing this forum software, so you might have better luck posting your question on the current active site (mimf.com). But someone may happen along here to help.

Re: Image Post Test

Hi Craig,
Thanks for pointing that out. For now, the rules are the rules and we need to be consistent as I've pointed out to Mark. Once we get this set up and go live, we do plan to review the rules and make some adjustments as we see fit.

Hi Colin and welcome. Please, the forum rules require that you use your real first and last names. You may PM me with the details and I will correct your account.
