Help for a Binding Virgin

Ok so I successfully bound a couple of F holes in a top with ABS binding and block sanded the binding flush with the top to 400 grit. Now I need to prime and paint and clear coat. I'm using lacquer for finish. I think you know where this is going already... I can tape the inside of the binding to ke...

Re: Brian May wiring schematic

Wouldn't this work the same with just 3 on/off/on switches instead of 6 switches?

Thanks

Re: Brian May wiring schematic

Am I missing something? couldn't this be wired with only 3 on/off/on switches (1 per pickup) ?

Center position PU is off, top position phase, bottom position normal.

Thanks

I'm getting a powerful itch to build another 4 string bass guitar. A quick build with a bolt on neck - I already bought the maple and rosewood I need and have it my dehumidifier box so It doesn't pick up any moisture. I'll be ordering all the hardware next week. Only Item I can't seem to locate is s...

Re: Mistakes made while building early guitars

My biggest mistake was not knowing how to handle two way truss rods. Instructions were easy enough but didn't address what to do with random here and there rattle - uggg... After carefully sanding the finger board off the neck and planing the neck to get it flat again - a idea hit me - I why not try...

Re: Jeff Miles' all-American 4-string fretless bass

Jeff, I wish we were neighbors. That bass is awesome! Its quite like the direction I have been wanting to go. I love the look of Rics and you captured exactly the look that I appreciate about them. This ought to be their new model. I'm serious. It classical Ric but modern. What did you do for finis...

Re: Another Ric Inspired guitar from Mark Wybierala

Here is #3. All four guitars have the same neck pocket and internal chambering. What is cool is that it is easy at this point to change the neck angle from zero as in a Fender or Ric to anything you want prior to installing the neck by putting an angle on the neck tennon as I did with the guitar ab...

Re: Bass Guitars "Own" section?

If it means anything - I've been lurking for a while now and cast my vote for a bass guitars section. the first few times I lurked - I totally overlooked the Solid-Body and Chambered or Semi-Solid Electric Guitars and Bass Guitars section looking for just a bass section. So I was one of those who wa...
