Re: Neck reset on S. Yairi 9110...issues.

Yes,They are difficult to get apart. The one I did didn't have an open pocket below the dovetail to steam out and was a very tight fit. I ended up sawing the fingerboard extension off and drilled two holes into the dovetail to steam and heat until it finally came out.I had to rebuild the dovetail. T...

Re: Resetting an Alvarez

Yes,thats the one Michael. I did take off the Fb. and see that its a tiny dovetail.I missed it with the drill bit.I dont like doing them this way ,like you said it can be risky. Now ,to get some steam into the dovetail.... Thanks.

Resetting an Alvarez

Hi guys, I'm working on an 86' Alvarez/Yairi Fy-65 -resetting the neck. It doesn't want to budge. I've steamed twice and its not cooperating. Anyone have advice on these necks. Re: Dave Anderson - My 1st Tele finished

Good work! A Telecaster and a blackface Deluxe Reverb is the holy grail of electric tone. I have a '66 Deluxe too and it is the best amp I have ever had. Is yours a reissue, or the real thing? Yeah, I agree that is one of the best combos' in music history.Unfortunately, my Deluxe is Not the real th...

Hi guys, My Telecaster is done. After running into a few problems, I finished her up about a week ago and have been playing A Lot! It sounds pretty good with the Duncan stacked humbucker bridge pick up and especially the Bonnell mini-humbucker neck p-up. Jim Bonnell makes a mean mini !! I had to swit...
