Re: Spanish style building repair?

Thanks a lot Joshua. Well, it has been a long time since i saw Frank Ford's neck reset. I have known that site, may be for 20 years. And i'm sorry, but i won't do this. I don't care about refinish. That is not a problem with french polish. The guitar is all assembled with titebond. The purflings are...

Re: This got me mad!

As for the other video.

Nope, you don't expect to sell a 35000 dollars guitar, with the strings dangling on the back of the bridge.

Re: This got me mad!

Ryan, i have done it. Left a comment on his video. And this is no playground shaming methods. I tell you straight. With a modern instrument, factory built mainstream thing, he can do whatever he wants. With a 50+ years old Brazilian rosewood back and side set, from a renowned maker like gibson. Even...

 Another one which made me go "duh"

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fixMWe-O5u4 At 3 minutes onwards. You want to sell a 50 thousand dollars guitar with strings attached to the bridge that way? Not even trimmed?

Re: This got me mad!

Hey guys. Cool to see you're still here. Clay, i'm sorry, but that's a bodger's job. Raising the fingerboard, with crap wood, to accomodate for the new top. Chuck, sorry, that name doesn't even ring a bell to me. But zillion liters of beer have down my guts since the original mimf. Hello Jim!...

Re: What is the bassier resonator guitar.

Thanks a lot Brian. That has been a while since i heart that name Paul Beard. I don't know how his instruments sound. Really, i've spent a fair while on youtube, and mostly, what i hear, as bassier, is biscuit cone guitars. Even more the latest lighter gauge metal bodies. I have a cheapo spider one....

Re: Mario Proulx's filter?

Hi Jim!

Well, sure it's been a long time. I have to concentrate on my day jobs (roofing/timberframing, exept in the winter, when i'm on the chairlifts) I hope all the ones i know over here on the forum are all right.

That's the one. Perfect! Thanks a lot.

Max.

Mario Proulx's filter?

Hi everybody. Well, some might remember me. I'm most certainly unknown to most  I've searched through the library for sure, and can't find anything on Mario's old closet filter for airborne dust. Any lead for me? Mario, if you pop around. I'd love a link, for a badly coughing friend. Thanks...

Re: Old skil 297 router collet?

Thanks a lot Charlie. Well, called skil in the US, they've put me through to an old guy who knows! He says they stopped making that machine in 77, and have no parts! I still have a 6mm collet. That looks like buying few new cutters for this one will be easier :D But in my papers, i have two # for th...

1/4 or 1/2 inch blade, and a very good set of guides, a good bandsaw too! Otherwise you'll struggle forever.

Re: Old skil 297 router collet?

Thanks a lot guys. Well, i didn't think of calling the service center, talk about daft :D But that machine is from UK or Australia i would think, as it is writen in english on it. Well, could have been sold in france like this, but fixed base routers in france are hard to come by. Hence my doubt. Wi...
