The Brown Hornet Bass (aka) longest build in Djinn guitars history.

Post by Johnathan Sibley »

I started this bass way back in '09. Yeah like 4 years ago. In the elapsed time I have completed several other builds, unshackled myself from the yoke of tyranny (left a very toxic 17yr relationship) losing a house, 3 cars, and a business as payment for my freedom, relocated 4 times, found my perfect complement, got married, and had a son. Some of y'all may recall a post from last December http://www.mimf.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=1631 . Well, it's done and delivered to an ecstatic recipient.

Specs: 5 string fretless

Body: swamp ash
Top: bookmatched figured walnut crotch
Neck: lyptus, imbuya,maple,imbuya, lyptus
Fingerboard: Bolivian rosewood fretlines with cream binding
Pickups: 2 custom soapbar humbuckers
Controls: volume, tone, 5way rotary switch
Finish: EM6000 with a shot of espresso in it. (really)
