A while back I decided to build three guitars, two of them with the same type of woods, This is the second Walnut one. sitca top, laminated neck. First try at a fret board and head stock inlay. A bit un-nerving as trashing a ebony fret board was a concern. I admit I cheated as I used my cnc to to this although you can turn a piece of wood to junk in a real hurry with a cnc. Even at that I ran trial cuts before doing the real thing. Clearance between the inlay pocket and piece is only .005 overall. No filler needed.
The truss rod cover is not finished as of yet, as is the heel cover. This neck is a bolt on with a adjustable t slot adjuster. You can adjust the height of the neck to the sound board with a allen wrench. No need to loosen or remove the strings to do so. It even stays in tune. I was concerned initially with the neck to body coupling, but kept the tolerances real close on the mated t-slot. No difference to my ear between the bolt on or the adjustable. Both of the walnut guitars sound similar, with a well balance tone. Next one I will not inlet the heel into the body, that was a bit of a pain and I am not satisfied with the results.

Really really nice guitar! And Walnut makes a pretty classy looking guitar.

Your craftsmanship is remarkable, especially for a third go at it. I'd be very interested in seeing more about your neck hardware if you have pictures of it.

I do worry a little as to the points on the bridge creating stress risers and possibly causing a crack in the topwood but time will tell.
