To do a repair on a Tacoma "Thunderchief" Acoustic Bass(posted in repairs) I made a couple gimmicks to help. V blocks to align with braces, mounted loosly with a 6-32 screw Also I made a "solid" tool to raise and lower the jack. I used a piece of brass tubing with an Allen Head cap screw, glued in one end, and an Allen wrench in the other end. Worked great.
