I'm kicking around the idea of making a C Clarinet by taking apart a broken Bb Clarinet.
The idea is to:
1. Take the keys off.
2. Make a new body in C based on the Bb design using some calculations and scaling and comparing the two methods.
3. Modify the keys where necessary to fit the new body.
I'm thinking of making a Bb body first just to get a little practice beforehand. I have made my own keys for my Chromatic Whistles/Flutes. I've turned flutes in wood before and I do have a milling machine. I will have to get a special cutter for the tonehole pad seats - but that's no problem.
Any comments or suggestions?

You know on The African Queen when Bogey says to Kate: You see, there ain't nothin' so complicated as the inside of a torpedo.
I'd suggest taking a look at the scaling between a B-flat and an A clarinet.

Since you have all the keys, and all you need is a body, I'd consider using Pablo's method.
