If you have a string instrument of any kind that needs fixing, a mistake you made in building a new instrument that you need to "disappear," or a question about the ethics of altering an older instrument, ask here. Classical guitar repair

Post by Cliff Green »

I'm looking for an expert repairman for a Contrerez of Madrid classical guitar I bought in 1977. I live 50 mi west of Washington DC. The guitar has cracks on the sound board one of which was previously repaired 20 years ago. I've been building and repairing violins for 20 years but don't know squat about guitar repair and this instrument is too nice for experiments so I'm willing to spend to get it done right.
Does anyone have a repairman to recommend? Thanks.
