Finished the second one.

Post by Dan Smith »

Finally got both guitars ready to ship!
This one is African Mahogany, Walnut, and Cocobolo.
Wilkensen hardware, GFS pickups.
One of my cousins broke his shoulder yesterday.
I hope he can still pick!

Nicely done Dan.
Is the top Walnut, on top of mahogany?
I need your help. I can't possibly make all the mistakes myself!

Yep, it is.
I used shellac and wood dust as grain filler on both woods.
Worked like a charm.
The neck is mildly curly, hard to,get a good photo.
Thanks!

Chuck, my wife ordered me a bunch through Amazon.
It shipped from China, I think the seller may have been Kissmee.
I was hesitant to use the binding, but it appears to be a hit!

I'd say it's a hit! - that stuff is crazy fun.
People will think it is abalone (or they will say pearl).
