does $1500 sound reasonable for it considering that I'm new at this?

It looks nice enough for a $1500 guitar; maybe more. But for me the important point is how well your frets and setup turned out. Are you confident about those? If not, you might want to take the guitar to someone you trust who knows their stuff.

I could test it more but it is the best playing guitar I've made. Probably the best one I've played.

Then $1500 is not out of line. May want to think about a bit more, depending on who you sell it to and what you are comfortable with. Another factor is that you do not want to price it too low because that may undercut future sales and give the impression of lower quality.

Can you clarify this pickup selection? "Coil tap" and "coil split" are often used interchangeably, but are different. So those #2 and #4 positions are selecting one coil from each pickup, and then putting them in- and out-of-phase with each other? Is it wired to select the inner or outer coils? I'll agree that out-of-phase is a cool sound option to have in the switch.

1. Bridge Series Humbucker
2. Bridge Single Coil(S) + Neck Single Coil(S)(series/reverse phase)
3. Bridge Humbucker + Neck Humbucker
4. Bridge Single Coil(S) + Neck Single Coil(N)(series/in phase)

That's what I used. I ended up switching the neck/bridge around in the wiring to make the knob work the way I wanted it to. Also flipped the top and bottom of the switch.

Haven't sold this one yet, but it appears to be generating interest in other custom builds. I'll see where that leads
