Danny Seamon's Second Guitar OM Koa (Pictures)

Post by Danny Seamon »

I just finished number two. OM Size. Koa back, sides, headstock veneer, rosette and pickguard. Bearclaw sitka spruce top. Flamed maple binding. Sapelle neck. Rosewood fingerboard and bridge. Mortise and tenon bolt on neck. French Polish. Made some mistakes...but different mistakes from number one....so hopefully I'm learning. Making these has inspired me to take guitar lessons. A guy at work told me; "Most people really enjoy playing guitar and therefore want to build one.....you've got this backward. Ha."

Danny, I've merged the two topics that you created, but in future please post all of your pictures in the one place.

Nice build by the way. Any guts shots?

Greg, Thanks. I had resized the pictures to what my computer said was less than 150 in iphoto but somehow when I went to add them they were bigger than I thought so I resized them again, then didn't know how to add them to the same post. Anyway, here are a few pictures of the build.
