Anyone ever tried gluing in reconstituted stone using hot hide glue?
I'm finishing up an inlay of reconstituted stone. Usually I glue the inlay in with tinted epoxy (tint = whatever color hides my errors best), but I am wondering if hot hide glue would work, too, or be a total waste of time? I could, I suppose, use tinted epoxy to hold the inlay together (and hide the flaws) and then glue the big inlay in with HHG.
None of this is hard to test and that's what I will probably do this weekend, but if anyone has any experience/strong opinions on the subject, I'd be interested in hearing them.

HHG sticks to glass. Why not do a test piece with scrap?

Re: HHG and reconstituted stone
For filling gaps, epoxy is much better than HHG, because it doesn't shrink.
