$100 Local Materials Challenge, Brian VanHout, Solidbody Electric Cello

Been meaning to build this for awhile now. Thinking of a stylized cello body shape, constructed a bit like a les paul...
Body will be oak with a top of some sort of SPF i picked up at the lumberyard.
Neck will be laminated maple and oak.
Tailpiece, Fingerboard and bridge will be maple. Not sure about the maple fingerboard on the cello, but it's the hardest thing i know of that grows around here(Minnesota).
Planning to use some spare bass tuners i have on the headstock. Electronics will be a simple piezo made from a buzzer.
looking forward to this build and seeing what everyone else comes up with. These challenges always provide some good inspiration.
