Post by Charlie Schultz »

This one addresses the old saying "To err is human, to really screw up takes a power tool."

Roy Underhill would call this an alcohol powered router. He would also point out that the motor automatically detects contact with human flesh.

It wasn't mentioned in the article so I assume it isn't available; I'm surprised Veritas is not offering this in a left handed version.

This item cuts close to the bone. People are trying to make fun of me and I'm not buying!

Seems like a three handed tool...I only got 2. For instance, precision routing inlays.
Would be nice to see on video...different applications.

Otherwise, beautifully made!

Ooo, a torrified maple handle! Man, they really know their way to the contemporary luthier's heart.

Thank you Charlie, for posting this.

Yesterday I was searching for it, but couldn't find it. A couple of times I hoped to have found the newest April fool's joke, but nope, every time it was something you can actually buy!

Just what I need! My router is the loudest and messiest tool in my shop. <g>

By the way, search "AFD" in the search box for past year's special tools.
