Arm-R-All Finish Question

Has anyone used Arm-R=All to finish an instrument? Wondering how it would stack up against Tru-Oil? I need to finish a curly maple dulcimer. Arm-R-All seems a bit easier for me to get a smooth finish.

Are you talking about Armor All?

Maybe Arm-R-Seal - the General Finishes Product.

If so, I've used Arm-R-Seal for years on furniture. Never used it on a guitar, but being a wiping varnish I wouldn't hesitate to give it a try. My next build will be probably be a wipe-on finish, but I'm not sure if I'm going to use Tru-Oil or Arm-R-Seal. I'll probably do a test piece and see which one polishes the best.

Correct Arm-R-Seal. Old brain in action. As always a test run is good. I'm not wanting a very high gloss for this dulcimer. I'm hoping to get some shine but still be able to "feel" the wood. I've user Tru Oil on rifle stocks many times and it really makes a durable finish.
