Considering a thickness sander. What to get?

I think that Ryobi takes the same feed belt size as the Performax/Jet 16 32 (16" X 43.5") and can be had on line for under $30.

If the old belt was tracking well, mark or score the rail on each side where the back roller tension adjustment bracket ends and count revolutions of the screws so you can get it re-aligned. You will need to loosen them to slide the belt. DON'T turn the sander/conveyor belt on high speed until the belt tracks straight on slow speed. If you turn it on at a high speed and it's not aligned, the belt will shred. This can take some time to get right so don't be in a hurry.
