Post by Greg Martin »

Hello im looking for solderless connector blocks, to allow quick disconnect testing of pickups im winding. Ive seen some that click open and shut allowing re use,but cant remember the name or where to buy. Im building a test body and neck that one you tube guy calls his test mule, just for this application. Anyone know :?:

This might be what you are looking for. They are normally used for speakers. This one has a block of 4 connections. Price is right, too.

I built a test guitar years ago where the pickups mount to little plywood trays and slide into the guitar from the side. The contacts were just copper foil traces that engaged against brass leaf springs. Copper was shielding tape and the brass was .010" shim stock from the hobby shop.

These should do... must be available from most US electric suppliers... maybe even your local electrician..
