Am planning on putting some Guitar fetish mod boards into a guitar I am building.
Looking for suggestions to buy a battery box or other options?
What do you use to power onboard guitar effects and why?

You could design the control cavity with a bit of extra space. Our pick up a plastic housing on Amazon or society

space is not the issue, I am trying to get 9v to the electronics and what my options to do that are? creativing a cavity to hold the electronics is not the issue, it is how to power it with a battery? For example there may be a way to attach a battery box to a strap and power thru a strap jack? Just wonder what you guys are using?

This was the first guitar I built and the only one with active electronics. I made a battery clip and put it inside the electronics cavity, and held on a battery access cover with a magnet that clipped to the battery.

Good catch, Jason. Yes, that was on the door of the copy machine that I made most of the guitar parts from.

You could look at alternate power solutions. It really depends on the current draw of the device you intend on installing. Some of those vintage effects could suck up a 9V in just a few days. A LiPO battery from a model model car or heli could be an economical solution (especially if you already owned the charger). Some guitar electronics are even using "super caps" to provide power to low draw electronics for 10-20 hours. They can be recharged in under a second and can be built in permanently.
