Hi Folks, I've just finished the 4th in a series of Arch Tops with steam bent Tops & backs. This one sounds best of the 4 to my ear, however it feeds back much more than the others,
especially the B & C note on the low E string. The 4 are pretty much identical except this one is a Cut a way & with Half round strings instead of Flat wound's

Anyone have a clue as to why this could be ?

Robert, What sort of transducer are you using? I'm imagining that the cavity is inadvertently tuned to the notes that resonate so easily.

Hi David, I'm using a Kent Armstrong HJGN-2 (http://www.wdmusic.com/HJGN3BK.html) W/ a Schatten T-2 thumbwheel.

If it is what you suspect, is there a reasonable solution ?

Well you can deal with the offending notes electronically with a narrow band "notch" filter. You could try stuffing a rag into the sound hole/s and see if that changes anything (it usually doesn't.) Hopefully others here will come up with better, proven solutions.
